Christmas 2009

We worked hard making cookies for Santa and then off to sleep. Although not for long... Mandell was up at 5:30! This is a photo of them sitting patiently in the hall waiting to go in and see what Santa brought this year.
It was a very good year for the Brothers Hudson. Santa obviously misplaced his naughty list!

Cooper was very pleased that Santa remembered his "cweeks" also known as cleats! They are the smallest cleats I've ever seen. You can see them in the photo of him with the pizza party and the "CHEEEEESE" smile. Look for him at a MLB park near you in a few years!

Christmas at Nanmama's

We recently celebrated Christmas with Nanmama and all of our "cousins." These are Uncle Carl's babies and we are so thankful for his help in putting this family together. Hunter, Caroline Teck, Mandell, Bryson Dutton, Miss Emma Jean Brennan, Drew Teck, and Cooper. We had a great time Nanmama and Londaddy! Thank you for the Georgia Sweatshirts!

Coop's first school picture

No words here... just tears. This baby grew up way too fast!

Soccer Season Ends

Check out this video and look for the player with black pants and a red jacket. It was super cold the day these videos were shot, so Hunter just played in his warm ups. After seeing the video at the awards banquet, we received an email from a 1st/2nd grade coach recruiting him for next year's team. He had a great year and really worked hard. (FYI - it's a long video and he appears once in the first few seconds then twice around minute 8.)

Mandell's Bible Presentation at JFBC

Mandell had a very special day recently when he was presented with his first "big kid" Bible. He was so excited. When we got home, he put on his suit and pretended to be Mr. Bryant and preach a sermon to Cooper and Hunter. He named Hunter as the church music director. :-)

Opening Day of Dove Season 09/05/2009

This year was one of the best ever. The boys really enjoyed the hunt. It's amazing how fast these babies are growing. This year was the first year that all of the children were old enough to go to the field and they had a blast (literally.) Mandell had his first experience shooting a shotgun and he is now officially hooked. Looks like Uncle Delvis needs to work a little harder to get a larger field. We have more children than spots to sit!

Mandell's Big Adventure

Mandell learned how to ride his bicycle with no training wheels today. It didn't take him long to discover that he had been avoiding this for too long and it wasn't all that hard. He took a couple of pretty nasty spills, but overall, he's in pretty good shape. So good that he's now hazing his little brother Hunter to take his training wheels off.

Baseball Season Ends....

...not sure what we will do now with no practices or games! Mandell ended the season playing catcher. I'm not sure if he was more excited or if mama was. It's exciting to see the little man in all of that equipment for the first time! He played on a team with boys that were as old as 8 and in third grade. He was by far the youngest, most inexperienced. However, he held his own and made us all very proud.
Hunter finished his last year of t-ball, although for him, there was not much "t" in ball. After the second game of the season, he hit almost every time with the coach pitching. We are excited for him to start with the "big kids" next year.

Happy 2nd Birthday Coop!

Coop's birthday weekend was filled with fun. Saturday we spent the day with friends and family at the CSW skeet shoot. After a long hot day of playing with the boys, we ended by celebrating Coop's birthday with cupcakes and water guns.
On Sunday, Coop went to his first baseball game. We went to the new Gwinnett Braves stadium and had a blast. The highlight for Cooper was running the bases and playing catch in the outfield with Daddy.

Grandpa's Visit

The boys had a blast with Grandpa on his most recent visit. Baseball games, yard work, and life in general as a part of the Brothers Hudson Circus wore Grandpa out. We hope when he recovers he will come back to visit us again soon.

Fish Mommy!

That's what Coop said approximately 1 million times today as we walked through the Georgia Aquarium. Hunter had the day off from school and so did his friend Lynley. What better way to spend a rainy day than roaming through the Aquarium with 10,000 tourists? Hunter sharpened his photography skills. His favorite photo is the one of the otter sucking his thumb.
Thanks to Lynley, Ty and Charlie for joining us and to their mommy for being so brave with a 7 week old!

Remember Gordon Gekko?

Coop's tribute to Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas) in the 80s movie "Wall Street" It is one of B's favorite movies. Can you guess who gave him a bath that night?

Paintin' with Papa

Nana and Papa came to visit recently when Mandell had his tonsils taken out. While they were here, the boys showed off their painting skills. Coop needed a little direction and Papa was happy to give him a pointer or two. He's always good for telling someone how to do something...

The Brothers Go Behind the Scenes at the Zoo

Mandell and Hunter had the unique experience of going behind the scenes at the Atlanta Zoo. They were able to get up close and personal with the giraffes and a 2400 pound Rhino! A little scary, but pretty cool at the same time. Who knew that rhinos like to eat apples and giraffes eat sweet potatoes? Good thing the rhinos like apples and not children....

Annual Snow Day

Once again, we had "A" snow day. The boys were so excited to see the snow falling... until they discovered they were the biggest, wettest snow flakes ever. The fun didn't last long. Our little guys are simply not equipped for that kind of cold. This is evidenced by the hodge podge snow clothes on Coop. Have you ever seen such a pitiful attempt at staying warm? Fashion simply was not important on this day.

Hunter's 5th Birthday

On Friday, 2/20, Hunter celebrated his 5th birthday at "The Greatest Show on Earth." He and Mandell enjoyed the show with their friends Jack and Max as well as Hunter's best buds from school, Lucas and Hamilton. Hope you enjoy a taste of the magic!

Hangin' with Emma Jean

"I'm bored Coop. Let's do something fun."

Yep, she's a girl. Something fun equals shoe shopping while Coop colors.

After a hard day of shopping, a soak in the tub is a perfect way to relax.

Upon hearing of the soak in the tub, Cooper's cousin Bryson makes a long trip to remind Emma Jean that she has options...
